We started this year looking to expand and reach out to more women and girls across the country. On January 4 2019, we embarked on a journey to Agbozume in the Volta Region, to pay a working visit to the Talent Hunt Foundation – TAHUF
Talent Hunt Foundation aims to develop human resource capacity needs of the Volta Region and the country at large, through seminars, training and award schemes. They have been doing an amazing job for 13 years and I invite others to learn more about them
The visit by the Academy was to continue an established relationship and assess their developmental needs to enable the academy tailor its curriculum to help solve their emerging challenges in the region using technology and empower the women and girls with digital skills to help them reach their full potential
I had an informal session with the beneficiaries of the foundation. This segment was to get to know them more and the challenges that confront them. I also decided to share my story to inspire women. In fact one lady who previously taught learning Technology was a waste of time decided to start learning and called her mother to let her know. The power of a story!
My team also had a one-on-one segment with individual participants to collect data to help us tailor make our curriculum to ensure that the technical and soft skills they will acquire will help them connect with more opportunities in the region. The Founder of the foundation, Mawufemor Kofi Folivi, was grateful for the visit and expressed his appreciation to Soronko Academy team.
We look forward to working together to transform the lives of the women and girls in Agbozume and a fruitful partnership with Talent Hunt Foundation – TAHUF
