#OurCEOsDiaries #HappyNewMonth!! I have an interesting story to share. On International Womens Day, I was invited by the League of Young Female Leaders run by the amazing Hikmat Baba Dua to the inaugural #HerStory Summit in Tamale.
I got the opportunity to share my story, my journey, and my advice. I was the Keynote speaker as well as part of a panel of other distinguished speakers
There were about 300 girls present for the session. I asked them if they knew who a software developer was, what is coding, etc. No one knew the answer to the question. So I promised to come back and run a coding and digital skills session.
So we decided that for #GirlsinICTDay in April we will go to Tamale. We will be sending 40 laptops to Tamale to run the session for 60 to 80 girls. So we decided that since we will be flying to tamale we would buy 3 black travel bags to add to the bags we have. The bags will have to be able to fit in the overhead locker or under the seat in the plane to transport the laptops
On Thursday I got a visit from 14 students from MIT Sloan School of Management on a tour in Kenya and Ghana to learn about female entrepreneurship. It was a really engaging session. Guess what they gave us as a gift. Three black bags we could use for travel branded MIT.
Entrepreneurship has a lot of highs and lows but God reveals his presence in big and small ways. I pray you all have a blessed New Month!!!
