The cohort 2 upshift program participants received their second soft skills workshop on 13th August 2021 on how to study well in order to become good students. Before the class began, the trainer had the pupils view an animated video online on the importance of kindness while they snacked. She afterwards asked them to summarize what they had learnt previously and was blown away by their responses. Miss Josephine began the course by presenting the numerous methods for preparing to be a good student. It entails self-discipline, stress management, and time management.
She encouraged them to push themselves by creating objectives, being accountable, and always striving for excellence. She also offered some stress and time management advice, such as eating well, sleeping for at least 8 hours, prioritizing wisely, and organizing themselves.
She went on to say that auditory learners learn by hearing material and repeating it, visual learners remember best when they see information in graphics, and kinesthetic learners remember best when they are solving issues with a hands-on activity. She gave books to pupils who were extremely engaged throughout the session.
After that, students were given the assignment to assist them to figure out which learning skills work best for them, and they were sent on their way to their homes and locations.
