On day four of the National Pre-tech Training, we continued our Web Development training.
The trainer did a recap of what they learnt on Day 3 and they assisted some of the students who were having challenges with their tags.
The students continued with HTML 5 tags such as list tags example, ordered and unordered tags and table tags. The trainers also introduced them to how forms are created in HTML5 and they used tags like text area, select, input, button, option and so on. The trainers inspected every individual work as demonstrated to them on the screen. They wanted to make sure every individual was doing the right thing.
Next, they went on a lunch break, they were provided with delicious meals. They resumed to class shortly after the break to continue with their lessons. During the second part of the day, the students started with the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS). The trainers stated that CSS describes how HTML elements are to be displayed on a screen. They also mentioned that there are three ways of presenting CSS, that is the inline CSS, the internal CSS and the external CSS.
Participants were taken through inline and internal CSS. The trainers showed students examples and illustrated the two to give them better comprehension. This session was very practical and interactive. The class continues tomorrow with externals of CSS and we eagerly wait to see the progress these women would make. #PretechDiaries
