The National Female Pre-Tech Training Program is gradually coming to an end. The second day of the third week of training started with the class picking up where they left off in the previous. The plan for the day was for them to create and test their first Flutter apps.
The participants began by running their android studio software. They spent the majority of the day troubleshooting their installations because the ladies were having trouble running it on their phones due to incompatible devices. Ms. Mazior then showed the ladies how to use the Android Studio emulator to run the applications they had created, and some of the participants were able to run them after doing so. Those who were unable to run theirs were subjected to a different method. Dartpad and fluttlab.io were the online tools they used to run their apps.
Their trainer explained widgets to the participants and guided them through the creation of their first application, which they would run the following day. Widgets are pieces of software that are added to the home screen of our phones to provide a quick way to access information from apps without having to open the app itself.
So far, the HelloWorld, Calculator, and Random word generator applications have been run by the class. Participants took a thirty-minute lunch break at 1:00pm and continued with their project work after they returned till the class ended at 3pm.
