In today’s session of the National Females Pre-tech training program, the trainer started the day’s lesson by introducing the topic for the day which was Social Media Management. The class learned social media to be websites and applications that enable users to create and share content.
The first social Media Platform the students learned about was Facebook and how it works. The trainer took the class through the process of setting up a Facebook account and how to utilize Facebook for business.
Next, the class discussed Twitter, learned about its origin, its features and how these different features work. The trainer explained to them what makes great tweets and how to use hashtags to start conversations or create trends and how to utilize Twitter for business. The class went further into discussing trends that have shaped and changed the way people view brands and how much power influencers have in shaping these brands.
Later, the participants learned about Instagram, how to set up an account, how to create a post and how to use the other features that exist in the app. They also learned how to utilize Instagram for business.
In closing the trainer went further to discuss the importance of optimizing your profile, sharing great content, setting goals and objectives, being consistent with posts and content, utilizing stories and IGTV, using good hashtags, focusing on the right performance metrics, writing compelling captions and utilizing reviews and behind the scenes content on Instagram.
