The last training session of week 5 for the UPSHIFT Social Innovation Training occurred on 3rd September 2021. The participants continued their lessons in Microsoft Powerpoint & how to build amazing presentations.
Miss Kearl Tetteh gave a PowerPoint presentation to the audience. She went over the basics of PowerPoint and how it works. She described PowerPoint as a powerful presentation graphics program that includes everything needed to create an effective presentation, such as on-screen slides, a slide presentation on a website, and so on. She chose Ghana as the destination for her project. She showed the students how to select an appropriate presentation template and edit it to fit the topic.
The trainer guided the students through each page, showing them how to add slides, edit content, insert images, and modify the font style, size, and color. She then gave the participants 10 pages to create a slide for Ghana. They selected various tourist attractions throughout the country and created content around them. The students were ecstatic to be able to create beautiful slides for their homeland of Ghana.
Ms. Kearl concluded the class by encouraging the students to keep practising and, in time, they would become professionals. The participants were pleased with their progress and took a few moments to wrap up what they had accomplished thus far. Some students had questions about their project, and the trainer was able to help them. They then dispersed to their various homes.
