Week 5 of Code With Agility 2.0 kicked off on 23rd August 2021. On Day 1, the session began with the trainer walking them through how to create the header and the homepage of their various websites after which he asked them to use the same approach to create theirs.
Though in the beginning, a few of the participants were having a few challenges about how to go about it, the trainer further explained to them and they were able to create theirs.
The trainer later checked out each participant’s header and home page to make sure everyone was on track.
The trainer then went ahead to explain to the participants how to use the Widgets in WordPress. Widgets are blocks of content that you can add to your website’s sidebars, footers and other areas.
He later taught them how to create footers on their website. He explained that a header is the top section of a webpage and a footer is the bottom section of a webpage.
On Day 2, the session began with the trainer walking them through how to create the about page of their various websites after which he asked them to use the same approach to create theirs about pages.
He also walked them through how to create the menu items on their website. They were later taken through creating their contact pages and other sections of their various websites.
The session ended with the trainer introducing them to how to add Caldera forms to their various websites.
The final day of week 5 was wrapped up with a soft skill session which was Led by Miss Eugenia Boadi who is an engineer by profession.
She began the session by putting the ladies into 3 groups. Two groups had one member each blindfolded and the other group had no one blindfolded. She gave each group lego blocks and asked them to build a house with the lego blocks.
After some time she asked them to stop and asked those with the blindfold to take it off. They all shared their experience and analyzed each other’s houses. She explained that the activity represents their lives and that we all need people to help us in achieving their various goals.
She also gave them a worksheet known as the PVPS framework. (Premise- What they believe, Vision -What they want, Purpose -Why they want it and Strategy -What they can do to achieve it).
She walked them through Self-awareness, Self-acceptance, Self-actualization and how to be responsible.
She later made them say some affirmations with a poem she had written called “I AM ENOUGH”.
The week ended with the trainer Setornam helping them to finish up with the Homepage, About, header and footer sessions of their various websites.
