Today brings to the climax of the intensive 4 weeks training of the VIVO Energy/ABCDE VE-STEM program. During the four-week program, students were taken through Computer Technology, Google Suite, Canva and Website Development with WordPress. During the graduation ceremony, the students presented their beautifully designed websites, which they worked on over the four weeks of training. We had three groups of students present their websites, Group A presented a website about a school, Group B presented a hospital and Group C presented a website about a church. After the presentation, the Media Officer of Soronko Academy encouraged students to practice more and also expressed how impressed he was with their work.
Next, Mr George A. Amoako, the Business Development officer for African Business Centre for Developing Education (ABCDE) who was present to observe the ceremony admonished students to be consistent and hoped that they would keep practising what they learnt. He also made a few suggestions about their websites and also stated that there would be subsequent training like these.
Following the speech to the class, each student was awarded a certificate of completion by Mr George. The celebration culminated in a group photo to capture everyone’s achievements. At the end of class, there were some sad goodbyes as the students parted ways, but everyone was grateful for the experiences and education that they received. We thanked them for their eagerness to learn and constant enthusiasm to explore new things
