The students in the Upshift training program had a session today about how to put together a presentation using “Google slides.”
The class began with the students practising their typing skills on “speedtypingonline.com.” Miss Oreo, the trainer, went around checking on their progress and assisting them in correcting errors. The students then explored Google Classroom further. They also had the opportunity to experiment with other Google tools, such as jam board, hangout, earth (where each student attempted to locate their houses), drive, and so on. Miss Oreo advised the students to save all important documents on their drive to avoid future problems.
Miss Oreo introduced some platforms that they can use to extract images without worrying about plagiarism for their ongoing research. She then showed them how to comment on a Google document to make their lives easier. The students also experimented with document editing. They were taught how to use Google slides, emphasizing the importance of using fewer words to avoid clerical errors. They looked at an Airbnb example.
The students were given the assignment to create Google slides at the end of the session.
