It is the second week and day six of the National Pre-tech Training Program and we could not be more thrilled about how far the ladies have and what they are yet to learn. Day Six the National Pre-tech training program began with the creative director, Miss Leticia asking the ladies what they have learnt so far. The ladies recalled the different camera angles they learnt last week and also about how to select colours for their graphic designs.
The creative director further explained colour themes and how they can be used in projects and she further proceeded to draw the colour wheel to demonstrate the primary, secondary and complementary colours. After, the ladies engaged in a game of Kahoot which two students (Carolyn and Sophia) dominated.
Next, the lead trainer Jerry asked the ladies if they worked on the assignment he gave them, which they affirmed to doing it. He then introduced portrait photography to the ladies and the class stepped out for a portraiture session.
The class then returned after the portraiture setting and Jerry then introduced picture editing to the class. He further explained the file formats, RAW and jpeg. Students were introduced to Adobe Lightroom and used a sample image to further explain the different settings that can be used to edit pics. The trainer instructed the class to download Snapseed while they were on break.
After the break, the class used Snapseed to edit a picture with features and tools like cropping, tune image, vibrance and saturation, shadows, portrait, eye clarity etc. The class further learnt how to use brushes, change between brush sizes and brush types.
In closing the class the trainer engaged the students in a quick game. This session was very interactive and a delight to watch.
