Project Brief:- Scaling Jobs for Women with Technology is a project to create an equitable path for economically disadvantaged young women to capitalize on digital economic opportunities and reduce the digital gender gap
Summary
Project Officers are responsible for all the stages of a project’s life cycle and have duties such as managing resources, monitoring project execution, reporting to senior management, ensuring a continuous flow of information among project team members and assigning tasks.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Must ensure all projects are running smoothly. Following the Standard Operating Policy for all projects at the academy
- Must have regular meetings with project manager to discuss any project challenges or learning and follow-up on action items
- Must coordinate and arrange meetings with project trainer, facilitators and resource personnel including following up to support if they need anything.
- Must maintain crucial project documents(reports, forms which tracks project progress
- Must file all project documents in an appropriate database and ensure that all documents are accurate and accepted by the project manager
- Will liaise with the creative officer to ensure that all project receive the necessary publicity and branding
- Will liaise with the M&E officer to ensure that data is collected effectively for monitoring and evaluation purposes
- Support in selecting project beneficiaries
- Will join project whatsapps groups to ensure that project is going on smoothly
- Must identify any potential problem, issues or risk that could affect the progression then communicate these items to the Project Manager and work to identify potential solutions
- Must monitor project schedule, manage deadline for each project task check that every deadline is possible, and report any issues or potential delays to the Project Manager
- Assist Project Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to successfully deliver projects
Desired Qualities
- Ability to effectively carry out online research
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong commitment to youth and women’s empowerment
- Proficient with MS Office and Google Suite
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or college certificate in international development, business , project management, education, social sciences or information studies
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in the non-profit space
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in social media platforms
- Experience in coordination of projects or volunteers in a non-profit
- Ability to work in a team
- Able to follow given instructions with minimal supervision
- Punctual, reliable and professional
