For today’s session, the participants of the upshift program learned about Team Idea Selection.
The session started with the students making changes to their pitch deck slides. They edited the themes, font sizes, font sizes, and content on each slide. Also, they changed the background colours and added some images, after which they played games on Kahoot. The games were based on topics that have been treated in the previous sessions. Miss Oreo tested them on skills to have as a social innovator, brainstorming concepts and ideas.
Later, they went into groups to share ideas based on the solutions to their projects. Each group was to present five ideas to Miss Oreo. Some of these ideas were the spread of calcium chloride on dusty roads, providing waste bins, using paper instead of plastic for market bags, and draining gutters. The trainer told them to evaluate their solutions carefully so that they could effectively target their problems. Again, Miss Oreo was impressed by these ideas and encouraged them to narrow them down to one solution.
At the end of the session, she gave them tips to make their ideas presentable, after which they departed for their various destinations.
