  Job Title: Web Development Trainer/Teacher Key Responsibilities:

Teach students how to build a static and dynamic website or web application
Teach students how to use various computer languages and specialist applications; must teach basics of software development including but not limited to design patterns from basics to advanced, architecture basics and software testing and implementation skills
Ability to assess individual training needs and tailor training methods as needed
Preparing, planning and researching teaching materials and lessons
Spending contact time with student or groups, inspecting examinations, checking and assessing student work and providing feedback
Make use of new technology such as distance learning or video conferencing; keep IT skills, market trends and knowledge up to date
Performs all other tasks as assigned

 

Qualification and Requirements:

Minimum of two to three years of web development experience
Solid understanding of web development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid problem solving skills, good debugging skills required to determine a problem when the need arises
Demonstrated creativity and strong commercial awareness
Strong customer service approach and orientation required
Teaching background preferred; interest and demonstrated ability to work with children and young adults spanning the ages of 6-18
Ability to exercise patience as a trainer with trainees possessing varying degree of computer knowledge/system skills
Ability to instruct individuals and/or groups for several hours
Ability to use the senses of sight, hearing and speech to effectively instruct end users
Flexible and enjoys change, ability to work in a small team
Accuracy and attention to detail a must
Understanding and empathy, ability to relate to children and parents alike

  Job Title: Fundraising and Marketing Officer

Job Responsibilities Fundraiser:

Manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of existing donors and develop new contracts and donors for the school
Research funding opportunities, write grant applications for donations from trusts and foundations and statutory bodies
Meet with donors, trustees and prospective donors at cultivation events or one on one
Create fundraising and marketing materials required for activities for the school as well as determine most appropriate media exposure
Ensure that all necessary records and reports are kept on internal databases
Assist with development and monitoring of data and statistics they will support our story; appropriate positioning of information with current and prospective donors
Increase the charity's social media presence (including Facebook, Twitter etc) to retain and increase followers
Manage our presence on third party sites e.g. JustGiving, Wikipedia etc
Respond to comments and queries from supporters received through various channels (e.g. email, Facebook and telephone)

Job Responsibilities Marketer: 

Work with the Chief Executive and broader team to develop the charity's website as the main communications portal, ensuring that all content is accurate, up to date and compelling
Attract new students across the School's portfolio of programmes
Develop all marketing material and determine best media placement to attract new students
Publicise the strengths of the academic faculty
Promote the profile of the School as a whole to external audience, responsible for the social image of the school
Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness for the school
Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services on a variety of media (social, print etc.)
Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth
Work with government, officials and universities to grow knowledge and understanding of our curriculum and expand utilization and accreditation

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

BSc/BA in marketing, business administration or relevant field
Minimum of 2 years in fundraising and or marketing 
Energetic, passionate and outgoing personality
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated creativity and strong commercial awareness
Team player with a customer-oriented approach
Proven track record of reaching targets and successfully securing funding
Prefer an understanding of using digital marketing as a brand building and income generating tool
Ability to identify, research and develop opportunities to ensure maximum income is raised and targets are met
Thorough understanding of relevant legislation/charity law affecting funraising
Understanding of budgeting (including fundraising ROI ratios) and planning
Ability to work with a limited fundraising and marketing budget to deliver results
Flexible and enjoys change, ability to work in a small team
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Accuracy and attention to detail a must
Understanding and empathy, ability to relate to children and parents alike
